Giclee' Giclee' is a French word meaning: "to spray or to squirt with a nozel."

The term "giclee print" connotes an elevation in printmaking technology. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto canvas. The giclee printing process provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction. Another tremendous advantage of giclee printing is that digital images can be reproduced to almost any size and onto various media. The quality of the giclee print rivals more traditional methods and is commonly found in museums, art galleries, and photographic galleries.

GALLERY WRAP This is a method of stretching artists' canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides onto stretcher bars and is secured to the back of the frame. The term gallery wrap refers to an image that appears on the sides of the frame as well as the front. The image on the sides is either a continuation or a reflection of the main image, or an otherwise fabricated element such as a solid color or colors derived from the adjacent image. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.

Traditionally stretcher bars are made of wood that would warp in an outdoor environment. Our Outdoor Art "framework" consists of vinyl stretcher bars that are impervious to moisture, cold and heat. Additionally, stainless steel staples, being non-corrosive are used to attach the stretched canvas to the bars.

HANGING SYSTEM Designed to withstand 60 mph winds, each print includes our simple yet effective hardware for outdoor installation. The "hooks" can be screwed into stone, stucco, brick, wood or aluminum. Brackets affixed to the back of the image snap into place on the hooks. A template is included for ease of installation.
